Powerball players got another chance on Saturday at a lottery jackpot that reached $ 269 million.
The cash option for the 10:59 p.m. draw is worth $ 160.1 million.
The winning numbers are 24, 25, 38, 62, 63. The Powerball is 6 and the PowerPlay is 2x.
No one won the $ 246 million jackpot on Wednesday, but one ticket sold in Florida matched five numbers plus Powerball. It is worth $ 2 million because the buyer spent $ 1 more to exercise the Powerplay option.
The top prize hasn’t been won since a New Hampshire woman hit the $ 559.7 million jackpot on January 6. Since then, 13 draws have taken place with one big winner.
This winner has not officially claimed her prize as she is in the middle of a legal battle as she attempts to collect the money while remaining anonymous.
Lottery winners in New Jersey are not allowed to remain anonymous, but are allowed to attempt to set up a tiered trust to hide their identities.
The Powerball jackpot was won seven times last year. Six have been identified and all have claimed their winnings. The winner of a $ 435.5 million Indiana jackpot has chosen to remain anonymous. Indiana is one of a small group of states where winners can choose not to be named.
A Powerball ticket costs $ 2. The odds of hitting the jackpot are 292,201,338-1. Players have about a 1 in 11,688,053 chance of winning the second prize of at least $ 1 million.
The draws take place on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The game is offered in 44 states, Washington DC, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands.
