“I can’t stop smiling!” : Glenelg man on holiday in Perth walks away with $200,000 lottery win

Just when a Glenelg man thought his holiday in Perth couldn’t get any better, he pocketed $200,000 in today’s Lucky Lotteries mega jackpot draw.

The South Australian resident has won the guaranteed 1st prize of $200,000 in the Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot 1576 draw, drawn on Monday, June 13, 2022.

The cheerful man was about to leave his holiday accommodation to return home when he received a winning phone call from The Lott.

” Far ! I won $200,000? he clapped.

“I had to unpack my suitcase and find my laptop to log into my The Lott account online. I’m at the end of my holiday in Perth. I’m about to check out and go home.

“Wow, that’s crazy!

“I am excited, shocked and ecstatic! What a surprise to end my vacation – maybe Perth is my lucky place.

“I can’t stop smiling!”

With $200,000 about to land in his bank account, the triumphant traveler said he was looking forward to paying off some of his mortgage.

“I’ll be wise and pay off the mortgage on the house. It will go a long way!” he proclaimed.

His winning entry of two random numbers was purchased online at thelott.com – the official home of Australian lotteries.

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $11.09 million for the 1577 draw, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $15.61 million for the 10591 draw.

In 2021, 127 Lucky Lotteries 1st prize and jackpot winning entries across Australia won over $32.95 million.

Meanwhile, the biggest Lucky Lotteries prize was won by a man from Coolangatta who won a Mega Jackpot prize of $9.41 million in May.
