So many winning lottery tickets were sold in Ontario last week and here’s where


Ontario’s millionaire population saw a small uptick last week after the October 7, 2022 Lotto Max draw made several fortunes. So luck is definitely in the air.

According to OLG, players won 10 of the 16 winning Maxmillions numbers, resulting in the sale of five $1 million tickets in these areas:

  • Simcoe County Region
  • Haliburton/Muskoka area
  • York Region
  • Scarborough
  • Brampton

Another winning $1 million Maxmillions ticket was purchased on the OLG website, and an Encore bundle of the same amount was sold in York Region.

The other big lots sold were as follows:

  • Two Maxmillion tickets, worth $500,000 each, sold in the Prince Edward/Hastings County area and Toronto
  • Two Maxmillion Prize winning tickets, each worth $333,333.40, sold in the Huron County and Norfolk County areas
  • Lotto Max ticket worth $135,984.60 sold at Newmarket
  • $100,000 Encore award-winning ticket sold in Haliburton/Muskoka area

However, the $70 million Lotto Max jackpot is still up for grabs.

The next draw will take place on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, which will offer approximately 58 Maxmillions prizes of $1 million, for a total of $128 million in Lotto Max prizes to be won!

“You will now have 59 chances to win a life-changing Lotto Max prize, all for the same price as a $5 Lotto Max ticket,” says OLG.

The company reminds players to check their tickets on their mobile devices through the OLG app, register at to receive email alerts on winning numbers, or call their WIN! Line at 416-870-8946.

It should also be noted that individuals can purchase their tickets on or at authorized OLG retailers until 10:30 p.m. during the draw.
